In honor of Histio Hike Shenandoah, we're asking every registrant to raise at least $250 and each Team Captain to set a team goal. We encourage all participants to get creative in their fundraising efforts. Some ideas from prior years include:
Host a local “practice hike” and have participants bring their donations, or sell t-shirts with your Team name.
Place a Histio Hike display and Team flyers at your local businesses and doctor’s office.
Place a link to your Team fundraising page on a Caringbridge or Care Page site, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or blog.
Email your Team fundraising page to family and friends.
Send hard copy brochures to those in their circle that prefer “real” mail.
Many local restaurants offer charity nights, where they will donate the proceeds from food sales to your charity. Get your favorite restaurant to sponsor a Histio Hike night!
Are you the “go to” person in the family or your circle of friends for graphic design, photography, knitting, or some other skill? Instead of simply doing a favor, this year ask that they donate to the Hike on your behalf.
Get rewarded for your fundraising efforts! Which prize will you set your sights on?
Adult and Youth participants who raise $250 by April 27 will receive a Histio Hike pin.
Adult and Youth participants who raise $500 by April 27 will be upgraded to a dri-fit Histio Hike t-shirt (in lieu of the cotton registration t-shirt).
Adult and Youth participants who raise $1,000 by April 27 will receive a Histio Hike Shenandoah lantern.
