Paula's Story

Paula was a bright spot to our community here in Harford County. A beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and a dear friend to everyone she came into contact with.

Despite many childhood medical battles, one that rendered her legally blind, Paula could always see the good in people. This was especially true of the children she loved to care for. Whether her beloved niece and nephews, her young cousins, or the countless children that she taught in Sunday School at Carsins Run Baptist Church, every child was a delight to Paula.

We know that Paula would want her memory to help the many children and adults who are still facing what was the last of many medical battles that she endured in her life - the battle against Histiocytosis. Histiocytosis is an overproduction of white blood cells that can lead to organ damage and tumor formation. The Histiocytosis Association not only works to fund research leading to better treatment, but also provides education and support.

On September 22, 2018, Paula’s friends, family, and community will come together at Harford Community College to honor her memory in a Family Fun Walk Fundraising Event. We look forward to partnering with you in the battle against Histiocytosis.
