As some of you are aware, my brother Jeffrey was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, earlier this year. LCH is typically a juvenile cancer with very rare incidence in adults. There is not a lot of research on LCH in adults.
His local team of oncologists collaborated with specialists nationwide to determine the best course of treatment and in April, he started a 12 month chemo regimen. His doctors are monitoring him closely and they are very optimistic. True to his character, his attitude could not be more positive.
His family, coworkers and friends are rallied around him and are determined to fight this battle with him every step of the way.
We need your help!
Please consider donating to the Histiocytosis Association today to help aid in research and hope for a cure for all Histio diseases.
Thank you for your consideration. Please keep Jeffrey in your hearts and think SHELTON STRONG !
MORE ON HISTIOCYTIC DISORDERS:
Histiocytic disorders are a group of diseases that occur when there is an over-production of white blood cells known as histiocytes that can lead to organ damage and tumor formation. This group is made up of a wide variety of conditions that can affect both children and adults.
While the search for more effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure continues, the Histiocytosis Association is dedicated to supporting and empowering the patients and families who live with these devastating diseases every day.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal. Make a gift today!
