2024 Play For a Cure

Friends of Andrew Harris invite you to play in a round of co-ed softball in honor of his 29th birthday. 

Andrew, a longtime Simi Valley resident, was born with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a rare and usually fatal form of histiocytosis. He has undergone chemotherapy, radiation, and three bone marrow transplants. In addition to his treatment, his family has had to deal with the loss of two other children who succumbed to this disease. 

Please join us as we celebrate the 26th anniversary of Play for a Cure event! This event is held to help raise funds and awareness in the fight against histiocytosis and to provide support to the patients and families who are facing this unpredictable disease.  Proceeds from this event will be used to fund research into histiocytic disorders; support patients and families through area meetings, educational materials, and other services; and to increase awareness and education among physicians in Southern California.

Schedule of Events

- ​​ Start: 6:30pm 
- Local teams will play Friday night 

-Miscellaneous raffle items. Raffle tickets will be $10 for 40 tickets.

Entry Fees & Rules 

Team Entry $375- No refunds (Max teams allowed is 28) & is on a first come, first serve basis.
Must be at least 16 years of age to play.
Any illegal entry will result in forfeiture of game.

Includes:

- two pool games and double elimination
